Anu Vij joined OnQuest in June of 2009, with over fifteen years’ experience in the environmental, chemical, petrochemical, and air pollution control industries. He is deeply experienced in a full range of process and mechanical systems, and has specific expertise in thermal oxidation technologies. His experience includes equipment and piping design, material and energy balance for thermal oxidizers, preparation of PFDs, layout and P&IDs, and design for burners, fuel trains, hydraulic power units, fans and dampers, and ceramic insulation.
Prior to joining OnQuest, Vij was Director of Operations at Pro-Environmental Inc., where he headed thermal oxidation and environmental engineering projects for clients including Fortune 1000 companies. From 2001 to 2005, he was a project manager and lead process engineer at ADV Engineering Inc., where he had responsibility to design and build air pollution control equipment for a range of clients on projects, including a major project for KBR and ExxonMobil. Before that, Vij was a project manager and senior project engineer at specialty air pollution control firm Smith Engineering from 1994 to 2001. He was a chemical engineer at Ranbaxy Laboratories in New Delhi, India from 1991 to 1992.
Vij earned a M.S. in chemical engineering from the University of Southern California in 1994. He earned his B.S. in chemical engineering at Panjab University in India, in 1991. He holds a Certificate in Effective Management from California State University, Fullerton, and the Certificate for Engineer-in-Training from the State of California.
