ONQUEST APPOINTS P. TOM GILMORE DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
San Dimas Firm Promotes Petrochemical Engineering Professional With Thirty-Five Years of Experience
Los Angeles (August 9, 2011) - P. Tom Gilmore has been appointed Director of Business Development at San Dimas, CA-based specialty process engineering firm OnQuest, Inc., announced Dr. Roberto Ruiz, the company's president and chief operating officer.
A proven leader with 35 years of experience in the refining, petrochemical and power generation industries, Gilmore has led technical and commercial teams and successfully negotiated and managed major engineering contracts.
"Tom Gilmore brings extensive experience in sales and management within the chemical and hydrocarbon processing industries and a deep knowledge of our energy and petrochemical clients' needs for process solutions," said Dr. Ruiz. "His familiarity with OnQuest's customers and his knowledge of our capabilities and technologies have been a great asset to our sales efforts."
Gilmore was previously OnQuest's Regional Manager for the West and Midwest regions and was responsible for business development in California, Washington and Utah. Prior to joining OnQuest, Gilmore held senior management positions with WorleyParsons and BOC/Linde. Before that, he spent 29 years in a succession of positions of increasing responsibility with engineering firms KTI and Technip USA.
Gilmore is an active member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Brighton Polytechnic and completed coursework in management and communication at UCLA and the Dale Carnegie Institute.
