Primoris Services Corporation appoints Kevin Hand President and COO of Onquest, Inc.
(Lake Forest, CA - September 15, 2008) – Primoris Services Corporation (NasdaqGM: PRIM; PRIMU; PRIMW) ("Primoris"), one of the largest specialty contractors and engineering companies in the Western United States, today announced that Kevin Hand has been named President and Chief Operating Officer of its Onquest subsidiary, effective October 7, 2008.
Mr. Hand, 50 years old, has more than 20 years of experience in project, engineering and general management. He joins Primoris from WorleyParsons, a global engineering, procurement, and construction management services company headquartered in Australia where he has served since February 2007, initially as Program Manager and more recently as Manager of Operations. Prior to that, Mr. Hand held positions of increasing responsibility at Amoco Oil Company, Technip and BOC. He graduated from the University of Illinois in Chicago with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering following his service in the United States Navy.
Mr. Hand succeeds Onquest's President and Chief Executive Officer David Baker. Mr. Baker launched Onquest in 2002 and, since that time, the company has grown into a leading worldwide provider of custom engineering solutions for clients in the refining, petrochemical and power generation industries. Mr. Baker will remain with Primoris and assume a corporate position focusing on acquisitions in the technology and energy sectors.
